Speaker A:Chat Monday the quest's begun not ones fly, but we still run Mud's up high Let legends come welcome into chat one and done.
Speaker B:What's up, everybody?
Speaker B:Thank you for joining us again for another episode of Chat one and Done.
Speaker B:Season what?
Speaker C:Four.
Speaker B:Four.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:Now, are you guys ready for the finals?
Speaker C:Because too bad this is a pre.
Speaker C:Final episode.
Speaker B:Gotcha.
Speaker B:Yeah, this is a little pre episode, like he said.
Speaker B:Just a little something to recap, everybody.
Speaker B:If you haven't been following or.
Speaker B:Or if you've missed episodes, which I don't know why you would.
Speaker C:Exactly.
Speaker C:Or maybe you just want to hear our lovely voices lulling you to sleep with.
Speaker C:You know, amazing DND talk.
Speaker C:You never know.
Speaker B:I get that a lot.
Speaker B:That this podcast is really good.
Speaker B:What is it?
Speaker B:Asmr?
Speaker B:I was like, I don't think it is.
Speaker B:We're really loud.
Speaker C:It's good as smear.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Asmere.
Speaker B:All right, guys, so just a recap for season four.
Speaker B:If you guys are barely joining us or if you guys have listened and you just want to sit in and hang out with us for a bit.
Speaker B:This season was something different than from.
Speaker B:From what we usually do.
Speaker B:So usually we're interviews.
Speaker B:We're just having games, having games, playing games, and then just kind of like bullshit.
Speaker B:This was kind of that, but it was more game based.
Speaker B:Season four was basically our version, our low budget version of a Hunger Games.
Speaker C:Yes, the.
Speaker C:The DND equivalent.
Speaker C:Yes, the Hunger Games.
Speaker B:The D and D equivalent of the Hunger Games.
Speaker B:So what we did was we got a fancy name for this.
Speaker B:This is the Sovereign Aid Invitational.
Speaker B:We got eight of our closest friends from our D and D community that we've interviewed beforehand or just kicked it with, I guess, because I feel like everybody's been on the show.
Speaker B:I don't think we invited anybody that wasn't on the show.
Speaker C:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker C:It's.
Speaker C:I mean, you got to give the people what they want, and these are the people that they wanted to see duke it out till the death.
Speaker C:Which, mind you, we couldn't do till the death like we wanted to because of insurance purposes.
Speaker C:But we're trying the next best thing.
Speaker C:Just having them utterly and completely destroy each other.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So basically what, like I said, we got eight of our closest friends.
Speaker B:We did have early on, we had some issues with scheduling because this took like a month and a half to try to get everybody on board, and then everybody, like, they're scheduled to line up.
Speaker B:And in the process, we actually Lost two players and we had a breach out.
Speaker B:And we luckily had our friends over at Coffee and D and D willing to throw in a helping hand.
Speaker B:Where in the first, on the left side of the bracket, we had Coffee and then I don't remember who's the original player for that side.
Speaker B:I can't recall.
Speaker C:No, it's.
Speaker C:It's been so chaotic that anything that basically wasn't in the last episode or two is just like Jeff Dunham and Peanut just.
Speaker B:Yep, yep.
Speaker B:So the less I bracket, the person who was supposed to play Mr. Coffee Horse just wasn't able to participate.
Speaker B:So we had Mac hop in, which that was the funny dynamic because they're co hosts and it was just funny to watch them go out at it and like, they had a Nerf was.
Speaker B:They had a Nerf was.
Speaker B:I was like, honestly, we just kind of had to throw somebody in there and Mac was super willing to help out.
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:We were just sitting back and relaxing, waiting to see what kind of chaos ensued.
Speaker C:And you know, again, as Rudy said, thankfully our boys were willing to help us out.
Speaker B:Yep.
Speaker B:And then on the other side of the bracket, we also lost the player that was supposed to originally go against Tabletop Jamaica.
Speaker B:But we were able to get our buddy Slippery Rick, AKA Toast to fill in on that episode.
Speaker B:And that was just a great episode.
Speaker B:And then that just solidified the eight.
Speaker C:I think he's still on the run, by the way.
Speaker B:Probably.
Speaker B:Man, I don't know what happened to him.
Speaker B:He's probably.
Speaker B:He's probably out of there.
Speaker C:But yeah, I think we need to send a scroll to try and figure that out because.
Speaker C:Yeah, poor, poor guy.
Speaker B:Yeah, no, he was on.
Speaker B:He was on probation here.
Speaker B:I feel like we're kind of responsible for him if he goes missing.
Speaker C:Well, you know what, you have a point there.
Speaker C:So I will rebuttal that with.
Speaker C:He unfortunately did get eliminated and Tabletop Jamaica did come out on top.
Speaker C:It was.
Speaker C:All of these matches have been very close.
Speaker C:I don't think there's been more than like a two point.
Speaker B:Yeah, I think it's only been a two point.
Speaker B:A two point lead.
Speaker B:But just with so many great people, we couldn't figure out how to put them together.
Speaker B:So the way we did it was we put everybody's name on Roulette and we let fate decide.
Speaker B:And we had some pretty great lineups.
Speaker B:First on the left side we had Reps and Respawn and Demon has to Impress.
Speaker B:That was just a great episode all the way around.
Speaker B:It was hilarious.
Speaker B:I think somehow they formed a, A mother daughter bond.
Speaker B:But.
Speaker C:Yep.
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:But Demoness to Impress was able to, to knock over Reps and Respawn on that one.
Speaker B:And then we also had Mr. Coffee Horse taking on Mac, like we said, his co host.
Speaker B:And that was the first episode we recorded, actually, because if you guys see the bracket on, on our Instagram, they're on this, they're on the left side, but they're like the bottom half.
Speaker B:But they were just the first episode we were able to book.
Speaker B:So a lot of these episodes got booked out of order.
Speaker B:And that's just how we played the, the session.
Speaker B:So if you, if you keep along with like the actual bracket, you'll see that we kind of jump from side to side and then like, up, down, up, down.
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:Because then after that, I believe we had Dice Circus and John of Gaming Creation.
Speaker B:No, no, no, no, no, we had.
Speaker C:Oh, no, it was Slippery.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:So Tabletop.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:So first episode was Coffee and Mac.
Speaker B:I don't want to share the illusion.
Speaker B:It was Coffee and Mac.
Speaker B:And then it was, I believe, Reps and Respawn and Demonesto Impress.
Speaker C:Yep.
Speaker B:And then it was Slippery Rick versus Tabletop Jamaica, which out of.
Speaker B:Yeah, which out of that episode came the wildest creation for a dungeon crawl.
Speaker B:A dildo dungeon that was.
Speaker C:Oh, God, yeah, I remember that.
Speaker B:And then Dice Circus and Gaming Creation gave us one of the best insults.
Speaker B:Just little.
Speaker B:You don't know how much time I, I quoted that for like the week, like week, week and a half after just randomly kept popping into my mind.
Speaker B:Little.
Speaker C:Right.
Speaker C:And, and I, I, I was waiting because I was like, okay, this is going to be interesting to see.
Speaker C:What talking.
Speaker C:Because I don't think I've ever heard John talk.
Speaker C:He's, he's always like, super polite.
Speaker C:Nice.
Speaker B:A lot of these, A lot of the people that played had a really hard time insulting somebody else were like, hey, it's friendly banter guys.
Speaker B:Like, it's all fun and games.
Speaker B:And they're like, I can't, I can't.
Speaker B:I think the only person that came out swinging was Dice Circus against John and then Andre when.
Speaker B:Okay, so to recap, Demon has to Impress, be Reps and Respawn, Mac beat Coffee, Tabletop Jamaica beat Slippery Rick, and then Dice Circus beat Gaming Creations.
Speaker B:So they moved up on the, like the finals.
Speaker B:And then just the insult thing, like we threw in there.
Speaker B:Like, I think we didn't even have in the first step.
Speaker B:I think we had like in the second or third episode.
Speaker C:I think so.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I think it was like the second episode around there, but it was hilarious just to see, like, everybody being real shy because.
Speaker B:And the semifinals, we had Demonesto impress go against Mac.
Speaker B:And that was like a two hour episode.
Speaker C:Yeah, that was by far the longest chat one episode we have done today.
Speaker B:Yeah, that was my bad, though.
Speaker B:That was my bad.
Speaker B:I feel like on the game, I gave him way too much, too hard.
Speaker C:Of a prompt, but still went well.
Speaker C:Like, even though it was a longer.
Speaker B:Episode, it was still entertaining.
Speaker B:It was hilarious.
Speaker B:There was just a struggle try to figure out creatures and items.
Speaker C:Yeah, it was just so much like back and forth between them and then you had them trying to like, part talk each other up, but at the same time also part talk each other down, like, all in one.
Speaker C:So it was this weird, unique, like, fucking roller coaster of emotion.
Speaker C:Or as Ron Burgundy would say, I'm.
Speaker B:In a glass case of emotion.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And then like you said, all the games are close.
Speaker B:I don't think we've had anything more than like a two point lead.
Speaker B:And then we hop to the other side of the bracket where Tabletop Jamaica plays.
Speaker B:Played well.
Speaker B:Andre from Tabletop Jamaica played Joe from Dice Circus.
Speaker B:And that episode was insane because we have two of the most creative people going like that.
Speaker B:Like, I know, Going just head to head.
Speaker B:And then it was always just like a one up thing.
Speaker B:Like they throw something one up.
Speaker B:They throw something one up.
Speaker B:And it just kept going like that.
Speaker B:It was.
Speaker B:It was an intense episode.
Speaker C:It was.
Speaker C:It was very, very much a true competitive episode in that one.
Speaker C:Like all the other ones, it was like, you know, people were having fun and doing the competition, but not as like, oh, I. I gotta win.
Speaker C:Like, I gotta do.
Speaker B:This was.
Speaker B:Yeah, this was one of them.
Speaker B:This is one of the most competitive.
Speaker B:That was one of the most competitive episodes.
Speaker B:And that's what we love to see, man.
Speaker B:Like, you come into this like, oh, like it's just a silly thing or whatever.
Speaker B:But they legitimately came to win.
Speaker B:They weren't here to play.
Speaker B:They wanted to win.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:And, yeah, that's the beauty of it.
Speaker B:And sometimes it doesn't work out that way.
Speaker B:But I want to say that was one of my favorite games on the bracket so far.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Yeah, we.
Speaker C:We definitely made that one all about, like, just the creative mind improv.
Speaker C:Like we were throwing random obstacles left and right and they were just always coming up with some sort of creative way around it or some like, silly as shit way around it and just kept it fucking going.
Speaker B:Yeah, that really.
Speaker B:That really Encaps.
Speaker B:That was.
Speaker B:It encapsulated the fucking spirit of.
Speaker B:When we came up with a sovereign 8.
Speaker B:This is what we wanted to see.
Speaker B:We wanted to see people go at this, like, take it serious.
Speaker B:Because I know some.
Speaker B:Some people just like, oh, it's just a silly game or whatever, but I feel like every competitor that's been in this has given it, like, a hundred percent, and they tried.
Speaker B:And then that was just what made this such a great season concept.
Speaker C:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:So hitting the finals, we have Demoness to impress versus Tabletop Jamaica, which, if you heard our pre predictions, I don't think we had either of these guys.
Speaker B:No offense, guys, we love you.
Speaker B:We love you with all our hearts.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:You guys are fucking awesome.
Speaker B:You guys are family now.
Speaker B:I don't think we.
Speaker B:Anybody had them as, like, the winner, because I know I went.
Speaker B:My pick was Joe.
Speaker C:I think I leaned into that with you as well.
Speaker C:Just because in doing the episodes and then partaking in the dice circus and seeing some of the thoughts and ideas and stuff going on, you know, it's like, damn, she's.
Speaker C:She's got a good library of just knowledge going on in that dome.
Speaker B:Like, legitimately, she is one of, like, the sharpest DMS that I've ever met.
Speaker B:Like, the recall on.
Speaker B:And then, like, oh, like, just the amount of improv that she can, like, throw in, just like.
Speaker B:Like that at a notice, just at a moment's drop.
Speaker B:It was insane.
Speaker B:So, like I said, that was my pick to win, so.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:And I think that was your pick as well.
Speaker C:Yeah, it was just from, again, all that, you know, all the different knowledge and stuff that we've gotten off of her from the time she's been on to playing yet.
Speaker C:I was like, oh, no, she's.
Speaker C:I thought it would be close, but I still saw her coming out on top.
Speaker C:So when.
Speaker C:When she actually got knocked out of the bracket, I was.
Speaker C:I was actually surprised.
Speaker C:I know.
Speaker B:Like, after the episode, I was like.
Speaker B:It's like, I thought she had.
Speaker B:Like, I thought she had that.
Speaker B:And then I tallied the points at the end.
Speaker B:I was like, oh, by two.
Speaker B:I was like, I think that's what.
Speaker B:We didn't stress as much, which I.
Speaker B:That's the only regret I have going into this is we did not stress how important style points were gonna be.
Speaker B:And I feel like that was mainly because style points were something we came up with on the first episode.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:That just kind of.
Speaker B:It started as I remember.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Rudy was like, oh, style point.
Speaker C:And I was like it.
Speaker C:Let's roll with it.
Speaker C:And yeah.
Speaker B:So style points are a thing based off of a joke from the first episode.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:And then it became.
Speaker C:But it wasn't something that you just got for, you know, something all right.
Speaker C:Or something good.
Speaker C:You had to be great with whatever you were doing to get that stuff.
Speaker B:We tiger mom this.
Speaker B:We needed excellence and that's what we demand.
Speaker A:Yup.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:But I. I think it was crazy because even like with Mac and his semi final episode, the semifinal episode with Demon has impressed the game was just All Recall.
Speaker B:And this man has like an encyclopedic knowledge of D D. So watching him like cr.
Speaker B:This, this has this many hit points.
Speaker B:This amongst.
Speaker B:I was like my brother in Christ.
Speaker B:I would have to have a sheet pulled up in front of me to tell me all these things so I can answer it.
Speaker B:But this man's pulling shit like fucking random polls.
Speaker B:And I got to give him fucking props.
Speaker B:That shit was fucking amazing.
Speaker B:Just to watch like how his brain worked with that.
Speaker C:Oh yeah.
Speaker C:I mean.
Speaker C:And you know, I've.
Speaker C:I've been playing for a long time and I can remember character based shit, but when it comes, because I've never been a dm, I think I've done one X crawl that I ran.
Speaker C:But even with that, like, you know, I'm.
Speaker C:I'm great at remembering certain spells and like that, but it's like my retention just doesn't last.
Speaker C:And it seems like this guy, he's like a sponge.
Speaker C:Just anything that gets retained unless you squeeze it out of him, it just stays.
Speaker B:That's what I've noticed.
Speaker B:Like a lot of like the DMS we have on, they don't go based off like books and they're like, it's creative, it's like their own settings.
Speaker B:It's their own little beautiful minds working out there.
Speaker B:And I know a lot of people reskin different creatures because Lord knows I do it come up with a random ass goat with human hands that fucking drag you out of your tent and I just fucking reskin it under something else.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker B:Yeah, so that gets lost in translation.
Speaker B:A lot of people don't understand that DMS do shit like that where they want to make it as creative as possible and they want to put their own spin on it.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker C:Yeah, it's a must.
Speaker B:Yeah, of course, dude.
Speaker B:But what people don't understand is like they're still based off of something like this has something stat blocker.
Speaker B:Unless they're going like free range and making their own stat blocks.
Speaker B:Which props to you guys, I can't do that.
Speaker B:I'm not smart enough to keep track of all that.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:No.
Speaker C:Ain't no way in hell could I do a. Yeah.
Speaker C:Stat block without some heavy assistance.
Speaker B:Yeah, but like I said, the four people that made it to the semi finals, I think they're all dms, aren't they?
Speaker C:I.
Speaker C:Yes, actually, I believe so, because.
Speaker C:So, I mean, Mac is our current dm.
Speaker C:I believe Demoness was saying that she as well does DMing.
Speaker B:Huh.
Speaker C:Andre.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:With Dice Circus and then Andre with Doobies and Gunman.
Speaker B:Yes, sir.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:So I mean, they.
Speaker C:They all have their own flavors of.
Speaker C:And they just all came out.
Speaker C:They came out strong willed and strong knowledge.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Just to watch them, like, as the kids say, just to let them cook.
Speaker B:Just.
Speaker C:Yep.
Speaker B:Just to see how, like, creative they are and then just like, pulling out of, like, random.
Speaker B:Because none of these people have, like, they don't know what we're saying.
Speaker B:Like, what.
Speaker B:They don't know what the prompts are.
Speaker B:They don't know what the games are beforehand.
Speaker C:They don't know until the game starts.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So the only people that know the games are the people running the games.
Speaker B:So everything that they're throwing out, all the suggestions, all the little prompts, all the character work that they're doing is off the dome.
Speaker B:It's off the rip.
Speaker B:Like, the moment we drop it is when they get to, like, start working with this.
Speaker B:And I think that's the beauty of having, like, so many DM homies is just to watch how creative they can all work and then just kind of mash together.
Speaker B:And I think it's.
Speaker B:It's beautiful, man.
Speaker C:It's.
Speaker C:It's like a canvas being painted by a bunch of Picassos and Einstein.
Speaker B:No, no, I mean a bunch of weirdos.
Speaker C:We are all a bunch of weirdos because.
Speaker B:Speak for yourself.
Speaker B:I'm normal.
Speaker C:No, no, no.
Speaker C:You like to role play with your buddies and, you know, try and romance the homies so you're weird just like.
Speaker B:The rest of us.
Speaker B:Rule 1 of D and D. You got to make the homies feel loved.
Speaker C:Hell yeah.
Speaker C:Loved, appreciated.
Speaker C:And like, they got to cook you breakfast the next morning.
Speaker B:I got an extra large T shirt for you so you can wear afterwards.
Speaker B:So I know I probably asked you this a million times, like, off air already.
Speaker B:What has been, like, one of your favorite moments from the whole thing?
Speaker B:Like, what's a memorable moment?
Speaker B:What's something you still quote?
Speaker B:What's just beside a little?
Speaker B:Because little is.
Speaker B:That's universal.
Speaker B:Dude, we gotta put that on a T shirt.
Speaker C:Yep.
Speaker B:We gotta get that cleared with Dice Circus.
Speaker C:Yeah, no, that.
Speaker C:That was a great one.
Speaker C:I would have to say.
Speaker C:I. I enjoyed.
Speaker C:I enjoyed reps and her.
Speaker C:Her accents and her like, you could tell when she was getting like.
Speaker C:I don't want to say flustered, but it was like she had so many ideas in her head.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:That.
Speaker C:It was like, which one do I go with?
Speaker C:Which one do I go with?
Speaker C:And you can see that, like, you know that.
Speaker C:That determination in her eyes.
Speaker C:And then it's like going from, oh, I want this one, or oh, should I use this or fuck?
Speaker C:I. I got like these 15 phrases.
Speaker C:Which one am I gonna do?
Speaker C:Like, you know that for me was a memorable episode.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I think my favorite moment came out of that episode as well.
Speaker B:Just the creation of Mun Muns.
Speaker B:Cuz, bro, even till what?
Speaker B:We're like a month out from that fucking session.
Speaker B:I'm still quoting Mun Muns.
Speaker B:I was, Yeah, I was literally talking to my lady because we have a vacation coming up pretty soon.
Speaker B:I was like, how much mun Muns is that gonna cost?
Speaker B:She's like, what?
Speaker B:I was like, mun muns.
Speaker B:Like, what the.
Speaker B:I was like, money.
Speaker B:How much?
Speaker B:How much money?
Speaker C:Get with the chat.
Speaker A:One and done.
Speaker C:God damn it.
Speaker B:We need that on the sticker.
Speaker B:We need a Mun Muns.
Speaker C:I. I will make that happen since I now make stickers.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:That was one of my favorite.
Speaker B:And then just my favorite thing is all the random that we talk before or after the episode that doesn't get into the epis.
Speaker B:Like.
Speaker C:Oh yeah, there's like an hour, anywhere between a half hour to an hour of pre episode.
Speaker C:Just bullshittery for sure.
Speaker B:Like one of my.
Speaker B:One of the.
Speaker B:I think the last episode we recorded was Andre and Joe for like the first, like maybe hour before the episode, we were just talking about random gross foods from like our cultures and shit.
Speaker B:And part of that got into the episode.
Speaker C:Oh yeah.
Speaker B:That was like.
Speaker B:That was only a fraction of what we were talking about.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:And then what with reps and demoness, it was banter about like the store and the dice and then talking about like character creation and like one shot ideas and all kinds of.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And then just another thing like that's not really like this related.
Speaker B:Well, it's kind of related to this, is it cracked me up just every time that demoness would play like the.
Speaker C:Day before the camera.
Speaker B:No, not even that, dude.
Speaker B:She'd make random little clips to hype herself up or like to hype up the.
Speaker B:The next round or her winning around.
Speaker C:Oh, God, every time I saw those, I chuckled like a motherfucker.
Speaker B:That was hilarious, man.
Speaker B:And then just like the little banter with like her next opponent, like, I've tried to get might lie.
Speaker B:I was stirring the pot a little bit.
Speaker B:Shout out Mac.
Speaker B:On one of the episodes, I think before the semi finals, she had put up a video like, oh, I'm going into like the semi finals.
Speaker B:I'm going to win.
Speaker B:And then I was like, ooh, Max, she's talking.
Speaker B:And I tagged them in it.
Speaker C:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:And then like during the episode, like, I don't think she was talking.
Speaker B:I was like.
Speaker B:I mean, she wasn't, but I was trying to get some started trying to get some going, man.
Speaker C:You tried to get that rivalry, but goddamn, everybody's just too damn kind.
Speaker C:Which again, don't get me wrong, it's a great quality.
Speaker B:But for to the death, kumite isn't the greatest thing.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker C:So just be aware if.
Speaker C:If we do another.
Speaker C:Another tournament style one, be friendly up until we hit that record button.
Speaker C:And then once the recording starts, go.
Speaker C:Like a fucking lion taking down a gazelle.
Speaker C:Just go for the fucking throat.
Speaker B:I was about to ask you if we do this again, because this was probably something we're gonna end up doing again maybe next year.
Speaker B:Because it, like we said, it's a lot of work to get this season up and going and getting everybody like, who wants to participate?
Speaker B:Because we had sent out just like our eight.
Speaker B:We had sent out like, like feelers to people, and then we had some people that couldn't.
Speaker B:Like we said we had to get our replacements in.
Speaker B:But learning from this experience, what is one thing that you would want to see in the next Sovereign eight?
Speaker C:So I think who we're gonna have to.
Speaker B:Who would you like to see in sovereign 8?
Speaker B:2?
Speaker B:Electric boogaloo.
Speaker C:So I. I think we're gonna have to get a little bit more clever with the games.
Speaker C:I feel like they.
Speaker C:They were all great games.
Speaker C:Mind you, I'm not.
Speaker C:I'm not saying they weren't.
Speaker C:They were all fantastic.
Speaker B:Dante, you did great with those games, dude.
Speaker C:Yes, you did.
Speaker C:But I think we might need to up the difficulty and the.
Speaker C:The thinking that they have to do.
Speaker C:So we might have to, who knows, maybe do turn part of it into like some sort of temporary one shot at some point.
Speaker C:I don't even know, man.
Speaker C:Like, we're gonna have to get.
Speaker C:I think once this season is done and we start, you know, Reaching out to return to a bit of normalcy for season five.
Speaker C:I think we're gonna have to start pre planning for the following tournament already.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:Just so we can have it done.
Speaker C:Just because, you know, as you were saying, it is a process, especially when you have people from around the world, all different time zones and then you have us here in Arizona where the time zone and times never change, not even for daylight savings time.
Speaker B:Trapped in a time lo help.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:Basically.
Speaker C:So it's.
Speaker C:It's just a very difficult thing.
Speaker C:I mean we do have the scheduler.
Speaker C:I'm still gonna work on improving that more.
Speaker B:I mean that was a big help this season.
Speaker C:Yeah, we.
Speaker C:We do have that.
Speaker C:Thankfully.
Speaker C:I just got to figure out what can be done to improve, but that is gonna keep going.
Speaker C:But I. I think we might have to do, like I said, tougher games.
Speaker C:They can still be some of the same style, but we're gonna have to figure out a way to up the difficulty.
Speaker C:You know, maybe two or three points.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:For sure.
Speaker B:Dude.
Speaker B:That would make them a slightly harder games.
Speaker B:I get that.
Speaker B:I think on my end I would like to see maybe like new players as like different from this season.
Speaker B:With the only exception being whoever won this.
Speaker B:Whoever wins this.
Speaker C:What's called, this tournament, the Sovereign eight.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I don't know if we automatically give them like a punch into the finals for the next.
Speaker C:Hear me out.
Speaker C:We do it like the elite four of Pokemon.
Speaker C:They are just the champion at the end of the road.
Speaker C:And whoever wins has to play them.
Speaker C:Yep.
Speaker B:I was gonna go like a triple threat, like from both sides play this current champion.
Speaker C:Oh.
Speaker B:And then because what my.
Speaker B:My idea was for the like whoever wins this, we're obviously gonna send them like some kind of like.
Speaker B:I think we're gonna work like a placard that says like Sovereign eight champion.
Speaker B:And then I was gonna find like a little crown to send them as well.
Speaker B:And then maybe like some hand painted stuff and maybe some little snacks.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker C:As well as some custom stickers.
Speaker C:Why the not.
Speaker B:Yep, yep.
Speaker B:Just a little bundle.
Speaker B:So I feel like quiver for the next season.
Speaker B:Whoever wins, if the original champion of this one loses, they have to ship out the crown.
Speaker C:Oh, yes.
Speaker B:Sisterhood.
Speaker B:The traveling crown.
Speaker B:Or they send it back to us.
Speaker C:And then we send it out.
Speaker B:We need to find a metal one so we can get it engraved with every champion.
Speaker B:Like the year that they won't like first ever champion.
Speaker B:Second, you get a title belt.
Speaker C:That's what we might have to do.
Speaker C:A little belt or a necklace Or a pendant.
Speaker B:I was gonna say some sort like a metal crown and get engraved on the inside like so and so champion.
Speaker B:First ever champion this year and then be like.
Speaker B:Like season four champion.
Speaker C: o, you know, sovereign eight,: Speaker B:Yeah, yeah, for sure we can do something like that.
Speaker B:I think that would be sick.
Speaker C:Yeah, we'll figure something out because you know, we, we do got to figure out something for the champs, that's for damn sure.
Speaker C:So champs, you will be getting some, some.
Speaker C:So don't worry about that.
Speaker C:We.
Speaker C:We got you chat.
Speaker B:So I, we might need, we might carry you guys.
Speaker B:We might need two crowns.
Speaker B:Once a ship out to the winners and then just one.
Speaker B:But we keep that.
Speaker B:We engrave the names of the champions and then just display it.
Speaker C:Yeah, that would be cool for sure.
Speaker B:But yeah.
Speaker B:So in our finals we have Demoness to Impress.
Speaker B:We have Lilith and then we have Tabletop.
Speaker B:Jamaica's Andre.
Speaker B:I know it's always hard to pick because they're both like our friends and it's always, it's always difficult to have to choose between your friends and it sucks because I'm gonna put you on the spot right now.
Speaker C:That's fine.
Speaker C:That's fine.
Speaker B:Who are your odds on winning?
Speaker C:So after, after the last one, I believe Andre has a really strong chance.
Speaker C:But I'm gonna have to say, you know what, I'm, I'm gonna give Lilith that shot and say that she is going to, I don't want to say underdog it, but yeah, I think she's gonna come out with some, some shockers.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:Like don't get me wrong, Andre has some great fucking banter, some great quips, some great fucking comebacks.
Speaker C:But it's going to be interesting to see how that goes against Lilith who has just this insane ability to just grab whatever is tossed at her, convert it and throw it back.
Speaker B:Yeah, they're honestly, they're two of like the sharpest witted people that like that I've seen in this.
Speaker B:Because we throw something and then like not even like 10 seconds later, they already got something for it.
Speaker B:So I think it's gonna be a very difficult game.
Speaker B:It's gonna be great to watch.
Speaker C:Yeah, no, it's, it's gonna be, it's gonna be epic.
Speaker C:It is going to be interesting and I think this one will actually be a good battle.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah, I think it's gonna be solid and I can't wait to, to record the episode and see how that goes.
Speaker C:But hold on, hold on.
Speaker C:But before we, you know, stop chatting the listeners ears off and you know, let them get back to their morning or coffee or commute to work, whatever you guys are doing, we don't judge.
Speaker C:It's okay.
Speaker C:But who is your prediction?
Speaker B:Ah, you son of.
Speaker B:I was trying to get away without saying it.
Speaker C:I, I figured.
Speaker B:I don't know man, because like I said they're both really sharp witted like in the prompts.
Speaker B:I, I think Lilith might win on the prompts but style points, I have to give them to Andre because he is fast with a comeback.
Speaker B:Like we saw with the.
Speaker B:Yeah, we saw with, with Joe and Dice Circus like off the bat, two great insults in the beginning and just style points like I said to make or break his style points and this man has learned the formula on how to fucking gain those quick.
Speaker B:Like I said, like Lilith might have the jump on the prompt but I think it might inevitably come down to style points.
Speaker B:So I'm gonna have to give mine to Andre.
Speaker C:Oh shit.
Speaker C:So hear this challengers, if you are listening, just know that style points can be a deciding factor.
Speaker C:But.
Speaker B:We've seen it before, man.
Speaker B:Even with, in our very first game with Mac and Coffee, we saw style.
Speaker C:Points come through that we did.
Speaker C:But just know to get that style point you're gonna basically have to give up a limb in order to get it.
Speaker C:So you guys both need to bring your A game and be ready for an epic duel because is about to go down.
Speaker B:Yeah, it is.
Speaker B:I want to see a verbal beat down.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker C:Hell yeah.
Speaker C:Beat him down.
Speaker C:Beat him down.

Speaker B:Those are great, but.
Speaker C:Oh, God, wrong pipe.
Speaker A:Oh.
Speaker A:Oh, no.
Speaker A:Host down.
Speaker C:Host down.
Speaker B:Oh, no.
Speaker B:But let me rip.

Speaker C:And I look forward to seeing who comes out on top.
Speaker C:But I think with that, I think we actually got to close up shop because there's some weird fucking goblin that's been sitting in the back.
Speaker C:At first I thought it was Slippery Rick, but.
Speaker C:Oh, no, that remembered.
Speaker C:He's.
Speaker C:He's not purple.
Speaker B:No, that's Ted.
Speaker B:He's here to do the renovations for the finals.
Speaker C:Okay, well, then we better get out of his way because he looks like he's about to hit me with that flash axe in his hand.
Speaker C:And I like my head at the moment.
Speaker B:Yeah, he's not very trustworthy.
Speaker B:He's kind of a shyster.
Speaker B:I suggest we get out of here so he can do what he's doing.
Speaker C:Yeah, go ahead and do your renovations.
Speaker C:We'll mop up after.
Speaker C:And you can have two pints of ale.
Speaker C:Any more than that and you know I'll have to charge you.
Speaker C:Oh, God.
Speaker B:You're.
Speaker C:You're welcome.
Speaker C:Okay, that's fucking scary.
